It's almost fall (eeek!) and it's time to start the Thursday Tile
Society that I've been blabbing about for months!
For those
that were saved from my obsession, this is a neighborhood group
where we can informally get together weekly to play some American
Mahjong!

TTS Guidelines
Game Play
- Games kickoff at 7pm and we will play at least 4 rounds per evening.
- We will play NMJL rules for American Mahjong.
- We will play tables of 3 or 4, allowing Bob to play where needed; if we don't have enough players, we will rotate.
- If we don't have more than two players, we will cancel the week; we will only play with a minimum of three.
- This is a friendly league and we encourage new players; we will not be keeping score..... yet 😝
Host Responsibilities
- Provide the space, tables, and chairs for a set number of tables (please note your capacity on the signup sheet).
- Let us know on the signup sheet if you need other players to bring extra Mahjong sets.
- Add your address to the address tab here with any notes on how to find your place or get in.
- Add any notes on the schedule that players should be aware of (playing outside, pets, etc).
- Review members per week and will inform the group if week is cancelled or moved based on number of players.
Guest Responsibilities
- Sign up no later than Tuesday for games that week.
- Bring your own 2026 NMJL Card or reach out to the host to secure one.
- Eat dinner before or after, hosts may have some snacks, but do not assume.
- BYOB if you want.
- Notify host of your level of play (league is beginner friendly).
